Understand packet forwarding options

FabricProxy Lite forwards player connection data through Velocity's modern forwarding protocol. The mod's configuration allows you to adjust how strictly it validates and processes these packets to maintain compatibility with other server mods.

Access forwarding settings

Open config/FabricProxy-Lite.toml and look for packet-related parameters. These control how the mod handles the forwarded player information from your proxy.

Balance security and compatibility

If you experience crashes or unexpected behavior with other mods:

1. Review the packet configuration options in your .toml file

2. Adjust settings to be less strict if compatibility issues arise

3. Restart the server and test with your mod setup

Be cautious when loosening validation—this mod exists partly to maintain better compatibility than heavier proxy solutions, so configuration changes should be minimal. If problems persist, check that no conflicting mods are also attempting to handle player authentication or connection data.
