How to Extract Poison from Mobs in Extract Poison Mod
Getting Set Up
You need at least one empty glass bottle in your hand (or main inventory slot). Any glass bottle works — the mod does not require a special container. Once you have one, walk up to a supported mob and get within normal interaction range.
Extracting the Poison
Supported mobs are:
- Cave Spiders
- Pufferfish (Minecraft 1.13+)
- Bees (Minecraft 1.15+)
Right-click the mob with the empty glass bottle. You do not need to kill it or damage it — just get close and interact. If the extraction succeeds, your empty bottle becomes a bottle of poison and the mob enters a cooldown period before it can be milked again.
Important Notes
- The mob must be alive and within reach. If you are too far away, the right-click will do nothing.
- Each mob has its own cooldown timer.
- The default cooldown is one minute, but this is configurable per mob, so your server or pack may differ.
- You can extract from the same mob repeatedly over time, making mob farms a reliable poison source.
If right-clicking does nothing at all, double-check that you are holding a glass bottle and not a different item, and that the mob is one of the supported types.
