How to Build an Automatic Poison Farm with Extract Poison Mod

Choosing Your Mob

Any supported mob works, but pick based on how easy it is to contain and keep alive:

  • Cave Spiders are simple to trap and breed in a dark enclosure.
  • Pufferfish need water and are best kept in a tank or bucket-fed pool.
  • Bees require a hive or nest nearby to stay calm and productive.

Setting Up the Farm

1. Build a small, safe enclosure so the mob cannot escape or wander out of reach.

2. Make sure you can stand next to the mob within interaction range.

3. Keep a chest or shulker box nearby stocked with empty glass bottles so you never run out mid-session.

4. Right-click each mob with a bottle, then move to the next one while the first is on cooldown.

Cycling and Efficiency

The key to a good farm is rotating between several mobs. Because each mob has its own cooldown, having multiple mobs means you can always find one that is ready. Walk a loop, bottling each mob in turn, and by the time you return to the first one its timer should be close to finished.

If you want faster yields, lower extractDelayMs in the config. Otherwise, just add more mobs to the pen. Store finished poison bottles in a labeled chest to keep your inventory clear.
