How to Give Console Command Rewards From a Quest

Adding the Reward

Extra Quests lets a quest reward run a console command when claimed. Open the quest in the FTB Quests editor, go to the rewards section, and add the Extra Quests command reward type rather than a plain item reward.

Writing the Command

In the reward's command field, enter the command exactly as you would type it into the server console — without a leading slash. Use the mod's placeholder support to insert the claiming player's name so the command targets the right person. For example, a give or effect command should reference the player placeholder rather than a hardcoded name.

Permissions and Safety

Console command rewards run with full server permission, so anything you put here executes at the highest level. Avoid destructive commands and double-check targets. If the command needs to run as the player instead, use the appropriate execution prefix so it respects normal permissions.

Testing the Reward

Claim the quest in a test world and watch the server log for the command output. If nothing happens, confirm the reward type is the command reward and not an item reward, and that the command has no stray slash. Verify placeholders resolve to the correct player before shipping the quest to players.
