How to Add Daily and Weekly Tasks to a Quest

Choosing the Task Type

Extra Quests introduces daily and weekly task variants alongside its standard key-value tasks. In the FTB Quests editor, add a task and select the daily or weekly entry. These behave like normal tasks but reset on their own schedule instead of staying completed forever.

Configuring the Reset Window

In the task settings you control how the task behaves across its period. Daily tasks reset once per in-game day; weekly tasks reset once per in-game week. The exact reset timing follows the mod's own period tracking, so you do not need to build a clock or command chain yourself — just pick the period and let the mod handle the rollover.

Pairing With Rewards

Daily and weekly tasks are most useful when paired with repeatable rewards. Add a reward to the quest and make sure it can be claimed again after each reset. Key-value rewards work well here because the reward can grant a value that feeds another task or a command.

Player Experience

When a player completes the task, it shows as done until the period rolls over, then becomes available again. Use this for login streaks, daily chores, or weekly boss objectives. Test by completing the task, then advancing the in-game time or waiting out the period to confirm it resets cleanly.
