What Toughness Means

Armor toughness is a secondary armor stat that reduces damage from strong attacks and explosions. Unlike regular armor points, toughness specifically protects against high-damage hits that would otherwise bypass your armor protection.

Reading the Toughness Icon

Once enabled, the toughness HUD icon displays your current toughness value based on your equipped armor set. Different armor materials provide different amounts of toughness — higher-tier armor generally offers more toughness than lower-tier options.

Using This Information

Monitor the toughness icon when:

• Preparing for combat against strong mobs or players
• Deciding which armor set to wear for specific situations
• Testing different armor combinations to see their defensive benefits

The visual indicator lets you quickly assess how well-protected you are against burst damage, without needing to open your inventory or check tooltips.
