Enable Debug Logs to Troubleshoot Issues

Activating Diagnostic Information

If explosions aren't behaving as expected or you suspect a conflict with another mod, debug logs can help identify what's happening behind the scenes.

Steps

1. Open config/explosion-overhaul.json

2. Find the debug logging option

3. Enable it (usually by setting it to true)

4. Save and restart Minecraft

5. Trigger explosions and observe your game logs

Reading the Output

Debug logs will print detailed information about each explosion—its power level, debris spawn calculations, camera shake values, and more. Check your game's log file (usually in .minecraft/logs/latest.log) for this output. Look for entries related to explosions to understand what the mod is doing. Once you've identified the issue, disable debug logging again to reduce log file clutter and improve performance.
