Disable the Ear-Ringing Sound Effect

Turning Off Audio Feedback

The ear-ringing sound plays when you're close to powerful explosions, adding immersion but potentially causing discomfort during extended play sessions. You can disable it while keeping other explosion sounds intact.

Steps

1. Open config/explosion-overhaul.json in your text editor

2. Search for the ear-ringing or audio feedback setting

3. Change the value to disable this feature (typically toggling it to false or off)

4. Save and close the file

5. Restart Minecraft to apply the change

What Remains

Disabling the ear-ringing only removes that specific high-pitched sound. Standard explosion audio and other mod sound effects will continue to play normally. If you want to re-enable it later, simply revert the setting and restart the game.
