Using the Enchanting Table

With this mod installed, you can now enchant crossbows using the standard enchanting table just like you would a bow. Place your crossbow on the left slot of an enchanting table, along with lapis lazuli, and select from the available enchantments.

The enchantments that appear will include both traditional crossbow enchantments and bow-exclusive enchantments that are now compatible. Higher enchantment levels require more lapis lazuli and higher experience costs.

Using an Anvil

You can also combine enchanted books with your crossbow using an anvil. This method is useful when you want a specific enchantment or wish to combine multiple enchanted books onto a single crossbow.

Place your crossbow in the left slot and an enchanted book in the right slot. The anvil will show the experience cost and resulting enchantment. This works for any bow enchantment, giving you precise control over your crossbow's final loadout.

Combining Multiple Enchantments

You can layer multiple enchantments on one crossbow by repeatedly using the anvil with different enchanted books, though each combination increases the experience cost.
