Apply Sword Enchantments to Your Axe

Getting Started

This mod lets you use enchantments normally restricted to swords on axes, expanding your combat options. Before you begin, you'll need an axe and access to an enchanting table or anvil.

Using an Enchanting Table

1. Place your axe on the enchanting table

2. Look for sword-exclusive enchantments like Fire Aspect, Knockback, and Looting in the available options

3. Select the enchantment you want and confirm

4. The enchantment will apply directly to your axe

Using an Anvil

If you prefer precise control:

1. Obtain an enchanted book with a sword enchantment (from fishing, loot, or by enchanting books)

2. Place your axe and the enchanted book in the anvil

3. Combine them to transfer the enchantment to your axe

4. Repair costs increase with each combination, so plan your enchantments wisely

Tips

Sword enchantments on axes work identically to their sword counterparts—Fire Aspect still sets targets ablaze, and Looting increases rare drops from mobs. This makes axes viable primary weapons for any playstyle.
