How to Improve Performance While Using Euphoria Patches
Start From a Performance Profile
Euphoria Patches ships with performance profiles ranging from Potato and Low up to Ultra. If your framerate drops after enabling effects, switch to a lower profile first — this resets the heavier options to lighter equivalents in one step. Profiles are the fastest way to recover playable performance without manually hunting through every toggle.
Disable the Costliest Effects
After choosing a profile, review which Euphoria Patches features you actually enabled. Atmospheric additions like auroras, denser stars, and thicker fog each add rendering work, and advanced effects such as colored lighting are especially demanding. Turn off anything you are not actively enjoying. Because all features default to off, you can also simply revert to a mostly-vanilla Complementary look and re-enable effects one at a time, checking your framerate after each change to find the point where performance becomes unacceptable.
Match Settings to Your Hardware
Use the Popular Settings tab to see which combinations are considered reasonable defaults rather than stacking every option. Keep the End-specific effects like the vortex and dragon death animation disabled unless you are actually in the End, since they only matter there. Reapply shader settings after each change so you can measure the real impact.
