Adjust God Rays Intensity for Your Hardware

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated shader menu key (typically found in your controls settings). Look for the Lighting or Atmosphere section where god ray parameters are stored.

Reduce Intensity on Slower Systems

If you experience frame rate drops despite EtherLite's optimization, locate the god ray quality or intensity slider. Lowering this value will:

  • Reduce the brightness and visibility of light beams
  • Decrease the computational load on your GPU
  • Maintain the cinematic effect while improving performance

Fine-Tune for Your Preference

God rays are most visible during midday when the sun is high and when looking toward bright areas. Adjust the setting to a level where the effect enhances your view without overwhelming the scene. Test in different biomes—forests show god rays more dramatically than open plains due to particle density.

If your integrated graphics still struggles, disable god rays entirely and rely on the shader's bloom and soft lighting for atmosphere.
