Send Direct Messages by Clicking Player Names in Chat

Direct Messaging from Chat

The Etherlink Streamline Mod streamlines player communication by letting you start private messages directly from the chat box. Click any player's name and the mod automatically fills in the message command for you.

How to Send a Direct Message

1. Look for a player's name in the chat window

2. Click on their name

3. The mod automatically populates the private message command in your chat input box

4. Type your message after the command

5. Press Enter to send

What Happens Automatically

When you click a player name:

  • The correct /msg or /tell command syntax is inserted
  • The recipient's name is filled in correctly
  • Your cursor is positioned in the message text area
  • You only need to type your actual message

Benefits

This eliminates typos in player names and removes the need to remember exact command syntax. It's especially helpful when chatting with players who have long or unusual names, or when you're messaging multiple people in quick succession.
