Optimize Sky and Cloud Rendering for Performance
Access Sky and Atmosphere Settings
Open shader options and find the Sky, Clouds, or Atmosphere section. This controls cloud detail, sky color gradients, and celestial effects.
Reduce Cloud Quality if Needed
If frame rates drop significantly, lower cloud resolution or detail settings. This reduces the computational load while maintaining visual appeal. Lower settings still produce recognizable clouds; they simply contain less fine detail.
Adjust Sun and Moon Flare Effects
Locate sun flare or lens flare intensity sliders. These create glow effects around the sun and moon. Reduce intensity if it causes visual clutter; increase it for a more cinematic, dramatic sky.
Balance Sky Color Saturation
Some shaders offer sky saturation controls. Increase saturation for vibrant, fantasy-like skies; decrease it for more naturalistic tones.
Monitor Frame Rate
After adjustments, check your FPS in different biomes and times of day. Sky rendering impacts performance most during sunrise and sunset when volumetric effects peak. Find the sweet spot between visual quality and smooth gameplay.
