Customize Shadow Softness and Block Shadow Intensity
Open Shadow Configuration
Access shader settings and navigate to the Shadows or Lighting section. This controls how soft shadows fall across blocks and terrain.
Adjust Shadow Softness
Find the shadow softness or penumbra slider. Lower values create sharp, defined shadows (more realistic in bright sunlight), while higher values produce softer, diffused shadows (better for overcast or fantasy aesthetics). Experiment to match your preferred visual style.
Control Shadow Intensity
Locate shadow darkness or opacity settings. Increase intensity to make shadows more pronounced and dramatic. Decrease it if shadows feel too dark and obscure block details.
Fine-Tune Block Shadow Rendering
Some settings allow you to adjust how shadows render on individual blocks versus terrain. This affects whether shadows appear uniform or vary based on block type and surface angle.
Test Across Lighting Conditions
Evaluate shadows during different times of day. Midday produces harsh shadows; morning and evening create long, soft shadows. Adjust settings to achieve consistent, appealing results across all daylight cycles.
