How to Set Your Nether Spawn Point with a Respawn Anchor

Crafting and Placing

Craft a Respawn Anchor using Crying Obsidian and Glowstone blocks. Place it in your desired Nether location—typically near your base or a central hub. The anchor will sit inert until charged.

Charging the Anchor

Respawn Anchors require Glowstone to function. Right-click the anchor while holding Glowstone blocks to charge it. Each charge level increases, and the anchor glows brighter as it charges. You'll need multiple Glowstone blocks to fully charge it.

Setting Your Spawn

Once charged, right-click the Respawn Anchor while sneaking to set it as your spawn point. You'll see a confirmation effect. Now, if you die in the Nether, you'll respawn at this anchor instead of your Overworld bed or world spawn.

Maintenance

Each time you respawn at the anchor, it consumes one charge level. When fully depleted, it stops working and must be recharged with more Glowstone. Keep extra Glowstone nearby or establish a supply chain to maintain your anchor.
