Customize Button Styles to Match Your Preference

Access Resource Pack Settings

The Essential UI Resource Pack applies automatically once installed, but you can fine-tune its appearance through Minecraft's resource pack menu. Navigate to Options → Resource Packs and ensure the Essential UI pack is positioned above the default pack in the active list.

Adjust Visual Elements

If you want to modify specific button colors or sizes, you'll need to edit the pack's JSON files directly. Locate your resource pack folder and open the assets directory. Look for UI texture files and .json configuration files that control button appearance.

For most players, the default Essential UI styling works seamlessly without modification. However, if you're using other cosmetic mods or resource packs alongside Essential UI, you may experience conflicts. Reorder your active resource packs so Essential UI sits above conflicting packs to ensure its button designs take priority.

Verify Changes

After making adjustments, restart your game or reload resources by pressing F3 + T. Check your inventory, pause menu, and crafting screens to confirm buttons display as intended.
