Combine Essential UI with Other Mods and Resource Packs

Understand Layering Priority

When using Essential UI alongside other visual mods or resource packs, load order matters. In Options → Resource Packs, drag Essential UI above any other packs that modify buttons or menus. Packs listed higher take visual priority.

Test Compatibility

Some mods add custom GUIs or buttons that may not inherit Essential UI's styling automatically. Launch your game and check all menus—pause screen, inventory, crafting tables, and mod-specific screens. If certain elements don't match the Essential aesthetic, those mods may need their own resource pack adjustments.

Resolve Overlapping Designs

If you notice visual conflicts, you have two options: reorder packs to prioritize Essential UI, or selectively disable conflicting resource packs. Many players keep Essential UI as their base layer and add cosmetic packs on top for specific features.

Maintain Consistency

For the best experience, use resource packs designed to work with Essential UI, or stick with minimal packs that don't heavily modify GUI elements. This ensures your interface remains clean and cohesive across all screens.
