Access Diagnostic and Settings Screens in Mods

Finding Diagnostic Screens

ESC helps mod developers build diagnostic panels and settings screens quickly. These appear in mods that need to display configuration options, debug information, or performance data. Access them through:

  • Mod menu buttons in the main menu or pause screen
  • In-game commands specific to each mod
  • Keybinds assigned by the mod developer
  • Configuration files that link to in-game panels

Using Settings Panels

Once you open a settings or diagnostic screen:

1. Locate your desired option using the search box if available

2. Adjust values by clicking buttons, toggling switches, or typing numbers

3. Read tooltips by hovering over labels for explanations

4. Apply changes using Save or Confirm buttons

5. Close the screen with Escape or a dedicated close button

What to Expect

Diagnostic screens display technical information like performance metrics or mod compatibility status. Settings panels let you customize mod behavior. Both use ESC's consistent fonts and layout system, making them intuitive to navigate regardless of which mod you're configuring.
