How to Perform a Clash During Combat

Triggering a Clash

Clash Blade is a passive skill, meaning it activates automatically when conditions are met—you don't need to bind a separate key. When you're in the middle of an attack animation and an enemy's melee attack or projectile is incoming, your character will automatically intercept it if the timing aligns.

Positioning and Timing

To successfully clash:

1. Commit to an attack — Start your melee combo or heavy attack

2. Face your opponent — Clashes work when you're oriented toward the incoming threat

3. Let the animation play — Don't cancel your swing early; the clash window occurs during your active attack frames

4. Watch for the intercept — When an enemy attack connects during your swing, a clash triggers automatically

What Happens on Success

When a clash occurs:

  • Both the incoming attack and your attack are canceled
  • Damage is negated for both parties
  • Knockback is applied, pushing both you and the attacker apart
  • The combat flow resets, allowing you to start a new combo

Clashing is most effective against other EpicFight mobs and players using the mod's combat system, as they have proper attack animations for interception.
