Switch Between Different Shaders

Opening the Shader Menu

Press O (or your configured key) while in-game to open the Iris Shaders configuration screen. This displays all available shaders in the modpack.

Selecting a New Shader

Scroll through the shader list to preview different options. Each shader has a unique visual style—some focus on realistic lighting, others on vibrant colors or fantasy aesthetics. Click on any shader name to apply it immediately.

Adjusting Shader Settings

Once a shader is active, you can fine-tune its appearance by clicking the Options button. Common adjustable settings include:

• Lighting intensity and color
• Shadow quality and distance
• Water and cloud effects
• Bloom and glow intensity

Performance Considerations

If your FPS drops significantly (visible in the top-left corner), try switching to a lighter shader or reducing shader options. The modpack includes performance-friendly shaders alongside visually intensive ones, so you can find a balance that works for your system.
