How to Speed Up Resource Pack Loading

What the Mod Changes

This mod reduces how long the resource pack loading screen stays on screen. It does this by removing the forced fade-in and fade-out and the minimum time the screen is required to display. On packs that load quickly anyway, the screen may barely appear.

Steps to Get the Fastest Load

1. Make sure the mod is installed and enabled for your game version.

2. Select your resource pack in the pack selection screen as usual.

3. Apply the pack and watch the loading screen.

4. If the screen still lingers, check whether another mod adds its own pack loading overlay and disable that overlay.

Things That Still Slow Pack Loading

The mod only removes the screen timing, not the actual work of loading pack files. A very large pack, a pack with many high-resolution textures, or a slow disk will still take real time to load. To speed that up, reduce pack resolution, remove unused packs from the active list, or move your game files to a faster drive.
