Use Outlines to Align Decorative Objects Precisely

Enable Outlines for Your Decoration Entities

Before building, toggle on outlines for the entity types you're placing—item frames, paintings, armor stands, or custom furniture pieces. This lets you see exact hitboxes while positioning.

Position Objects Using Hitbox Guides

Place your decorative entity and aim at it to see its outline. The outline shows the precise boundaries of the entity's hitbox, helping you align multiple objects without gaps or overlaps. This is especially useful for:

  • Arranging item frames in grids
  • Placing paintings side-by-side
  • Positioning armor stands for displays
  • Aligning custom furniture pieces from mods

Fine-Tune Placement

Use the outline as a visual guide to adjust position. If you're creating a wall of item frames, the outlines show you exactly where each frame's edges are, making it easy to space them evenly. For armor stand displays, outlines help you see the stand's full footprint.

Disable When Finished

Once your decoration is complete, you can toggle outlines off if they distract from your finished build.
