Monitor Entity Behavior and Lifespan in Your World

Tracking Entity Existence Over Time

The Ticks Existed value lets you monitor how long entities survive:

1. Hit an entity with the Information Stick

2. Note the tick count displayed

3.

4. Hit the same entity again and compare the new tick value

The difference shows how much time has passed. This is useful for testing mob farms, checking if entities despawn correctly, or verifying that persistent entities (like named mobs) stay alive as intended.

Checking Entity Positions and Movement

Use the Position Coordinates to track where entities are:

  • Hit an entity, note its X, Y, Z position
  • Useful for verifying mob pathfinding, checking if entities are stuck, or confirming they're staying within intended boundaries

This is particularly helpful when testing custom mob behavior or ensuring farm designs work correctly.
