Get the Information Stick and Start Inspecting Entities

Obtaining the Information Stick

The Information Stick is the core tool of this mod. To get it, open your chat and type either /informationstick or /ist (the shorter alias works identically). The stick will appear in your inventory immediately.

Using the Stick to Inspect Entities

Once you have the Information Stick:

1. Equip it in your hand

2. Approach any entity (mobs, animals, players, minecarts, etc.)

3. Left-click (attack) the entity with the stick

4. Detailed information will display in your chat window

The stick doesn't damage entities or trigger any hostile behavior—it's purely a data-gathering tool. You can inspect the same entity multiple times to refresh the data. This works on both vanilla Minecraft entities and entities added by other mods.
