Make Plants Wave More or Less Noticeably

Access Shader Configuration

Open Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options in-game to reach the shader control panel.

Find Plant Animation Settings

Look for options named "Plant Waving," "Foliage Animation," "Leaf Movement," or "Wind Effect." Enhanced Vision Shaders typically offers controls for vegetation sway.

Adjust Wave Intensity and Speed

You'll likely find sliders for:

  • Wave amplitude — how far plants bend side-to-side
  • Wave frequency — how fast the swaying motion occurs
  • Affected blocks — which plant types wave (leaves, grass, tall grass, etc.)

Increase amplitude for more dramatic movement, or decrease it for subtle, barely-noticeable sway. Adjust frequency to speed up or slow down the rhythm.

Preview Changes

Stand near grass, leaves, or crops and watch them respond to your new settings. Make fine adjustments until the motion feels natural and not distracting.

Save Your Preferences

Confirm and save your changes through the shader menu. The new plant animation will apply immediately across your world.
