Enable or Disable Water Reflections
Open Shader Options
Access your shader settings through Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options while in-game.
Locate Water Reflection Settings
Search for options labeled "Water Reflections," "Reflective Water," or "Water Surface Effects." Enhanced Vision Shaders provides toggles and quality controls for this feature.
Toggle the Feature On or Off
Find the main checkbox or boolean setting for water reflections. Disable it entirely if reflections cause performance issues, or enable it for the full visual effect. Some setups allow you to choose between quality levels—high reflections look more realistic but demand more GPU power.
Adjust Reflection Quality (Optional)
If available, you may find sliders for reflection resolution or clarity. Lower settings reduce the mirror-like detail but improve frame rate on weaker systems.
Test Near Water
Travel to a lake, river, or ocean and observe how the water surface now appears. Reflections should show the sky and nearby terrain. If performance drops noticeably, consider lowering quality or disabling the feature entirely.
