Fix Washed Out or Dim Lighting in Your World

Check Sunlight Intensity

Open shader settings and find the sunlight or brightness control. Enhanced Vibrance Edition Shaders brightens the world compared to vanilla Java Edition, so if your world looks dim, the sunlight slider may be set too low. Increase it to restore the vibrant, well-lit appearance.

Adjust Shadow Darkness

Shadows that are too dark can make the overall world feel gloomy. Look for shadow intensity or darkness settings and reduce them slightly. This creates better contrast without losing the depth that shadows provide.

Verify Biome Lighting

Different biomes receive different lighting adjustments to match their weather and atmosphere. If one biome looks washed out while others look good, this is intentional—caves and forests naturally receive less direct sunlight. However, if your entire world feels off, reset to default settings and adjust incrementally.

Test During Different Times

Visit your world at different times of day. Sunrise and sunset should show vibrant colors; midday should be bright and clear. If colors look muted at any time, increase the saturation or color vibrancy settings alongside brightness adjustments.
