How to Shear Endermen

Equip a pair of shears and approach an Enderman. Right-click the mob to shear it. The Enderman will drop two Ender Pearls and lose its teleportation ability, becoming trapped in the area.

After shearing, the mob enters a panicked state—it will scream, jump around wildly, and spawn purple particles. The mob takes continuous damage over time until it dies, so you can safely collect your pearls while it thrashes about.

This provides a low-risk way to gather Ender Pearls for crafting End Portals without engaging in direct combat.
