How to Pick Up and Move an Existing End Portal

Breaking the Portal Frame

If you already placed a portal and want it somewhere else, you can pick it up and relocate it. By default the mod may require a Silk Touch pickaxe to break portal frames — check your config settings to confirm. Equip a Silk Touch pickaxe and mine the frame block. Depending on your inventory behavior setting, the frame may drop as an item you can collect, or it may go directly into your inventory. Make sure you have empty inventory slots if the drop-on-ground option is active.

Replacing It Elsewhere

Once you have the frame item in hand, travel to your new desired location and place it down just like before. The portal should function identically, letting you step through to the End. This is especially useful if you want portals near two different bases for fast travel. If you accidentally break a frame without Silk Touch and it does not drop, you will need to craft a replacement using the original recipe: 5 Eyes of Ender, 1 Dragon Egg, and 3 End Stone. Always double-check your config before dismantling a portal so you do not lose the frame.
