Extend your elytra flight time with Graviole

Obtain and apply Graviole

Graviole is an elytra-exclusive enchantment found in End city loot chests. It has three levels. Enchant your elytra with Graviole using an anvil and enchanted book.

Understand the trade-off

Graviole makes your elytra resist gravity, which increases total flight duration significantly. However, this prevents you from using gravity to accelerate downward, meaning you'll fly more slowly overall. You lose the speed boost from diving but gain extended glide time.

Optimize your flying style

Graviole is best for:

• Long-distance horizontal travel: Maintain altitude and cover ground without diving
• Exploration: Explore terrain without constantly losing altitude
• Casual flight: Relaxed, sustained flying over aggressive speed runs

If you prefer fast, aggressive elytra combat or speed-focused travel, skip this enchantment. For leisurely exploration and extended flight sessions, higher Graviole levels provide better results. Pair it with Kinetic Protection on your helmet to reduce damage from collisions during extended flights.
