Understand Luminosity mechanics

Luminosity is a chestplate enchantment that makes you emit light. Level 1 produces light level 5, level 2 produces level 10, and level 3 produces level 15. This light radiates from your position as you move.

Build your mob farm

Enchant a chestplate with Luminosity and equip it. The light you emit will prevent mobs from spawning in a radius around you. Use this to create controlled spawning areas—position yourself strategically to keep certain zones dark while illuminating others.

Practical applications

This enchantment is useful for:

• Selective mob farming: Keep your farming area dark while you stand in a lit zone
• Base protection: Wear the enchanted chestplate to prevent hostile spawns nearby
• Navigation: Provides ambient lighting without placing torches

Note that the light level scales with the enchantment level, so choose your level based on the radius you need to control. Higher levels create larger lit areas around you.
