How Enchantment Levels Work in Enchantment Level Break Mod

Exceeding the Vanilla Cap

In vanilla Minecraft, enchantment levels are limited to 255. Enchantment Level Break Mod removes that ceiling, letting enchantments reach levels up to 2,147,483,647 — the maximum value a standard integer can hold.

Because the mod changes the level cap itself rather than adding new enchantments, it works with existing enchantments on any item. You can push a single enchantment far beyond what vanilla allows, or combine several extremely high-level enchantments on the same piece of gear.

The Switch Anvil System

The mod introduces a "switch anvil" system for applying and stacking enchantments. This replaces the normal anvil behavior for the mod's purposes, giving you a way to add enchantments and increase their levels past the vanilla limit. Use it to build up enchantment levels on an item and to stack multiple high-level enchantments together.

Keep in mind that extremely high levels produce extreme effects, so test on a copy of your world first.
