Use Emojis on Servers Without Requiring Others to Install the Mod

How Client-Side Rendering Works

One of the mod's best features is that your emojis are visible to everyone, even players who don't have the mod installed. This happens because the mod converts emoji codes into actual Unicode symbols that Minecraft's chat system can display natively.

1. Type your emoji using the :name: format in chat

2. The mod translates it to a Unicode symbol on your client

3. That symbol is sent to the server as a regular character

4. All players see the final symbol, regardless of their mods

What Others See

When you send a message with emojis, players without the mod will see the colored Unicode symbol just fine. They won't see the :emoji_code: format—they'll see the actual emoji character. This means you can decorate your messages, signs, and item names with symbols that work everywhere.

The only difference is that players without a compatible resource pack won't see the enhanced colors, but the symbols themselves remain visible and readable to everyone on any server.
