Adding Emojis to Signs

Emojis work on signs just like they do in chat, making your builds more expressive and colorful.

1. Place a sign on your build

2. Click it to open the sign editor

3. Type a colon : on any line to open the emoji menu

4. Search for or select the emoji you want

5. Continue typing text on that line or move to the next line

6. Click Done to save your sign

The emoji will display in full color on the sign if you have a compatible resource pack.

Using Emojis in Anvils

You can also add emojis when renaming items in an anvil:

1. Place an anvil and put an item in it

2. Type the new name in the text field

3. Use : to bring up the emoji menu while naming

4. Select your emoji and finish the item name

5. Confirm the rename

This works for any item—tools, weapons, or decorative blocks—letting you create personalized gear with colorful symbols.
