Troubleshoot Visual Issues with EmberVoid
Identify Common Problems
Common issues include flickering shadows, color banding (visible stripes in gradients), or inconsistent lighting between biomes. These usually stem from conflicting settings or incompatible mods rather than EmberVoid itself.
Check Mod Compatibility
EmberVoid works best with vanilla Minecraft and lightweight mods. Disable other shader mods, advanced lighting mods, or dynamic lighting mods one at a time to find conflicts. Restart your game after each change.
Reset Shader Settings
If visuals look wrong, return shader options to defaults. Corrupted or extreme settings can cause banding, color shifts, or shadow glitches. After resetting, adjust settings gradually to find what works.
Verify GPU Driver Updates
Outdated graphics drivers cause shader rendering errors. Update your GPU drivers through your manufacturer's control panel. This is especially important for Intel Arc users.
Check World Lighting
Ensure your world isn't corrupted by lighting errors. If one area looks broken while others don't, the issue is likely local. Try moving to a different region or creating a new test world.
Report Persistent Issues
If problems continue after these steps, document what you see and share your system specs and mod list with the community.
