Maximize Frame Rate While Using EmberVoid

Check Your Current Performance

Launch your world and use F3 (or your launcher's debug screen) to monitor FPS. EmberVoid is designed to run efficiently, but your baseline matters. Note your FPS in different environments—open sky, dense forest, underground.

Lower Shader-Specific Settings

Access shader options and reduce shadow resolution or disable advanced shadow filtering. These settings have the biggest impact on frame rate. You can often cut rendering cost in half without losing the mod's core fantasy aesthetic.

Reduce Render Distance Gradually

If you're still below your target FPS, lower render distance in increments of 2 chunks. This affects overall performance more than shader settings alone. Test after each change to find your sweet spot.

Disable Conflicting Mods

Other visual mods (like particle enhancers or dynamic lighting) can stack performance costs with shaders. Disable them temporarily to isolate EmberVoid's actual impact.

Intel Arc Optimization

If you're using Intel Arc graphics, EmberVoid should run particularly well. Ensure your drivers are up to date, as shader mods benefit from recent GPU driver improvements.
