Adjust Lighting Intensity for Your Playstyle
Access Shader Settings
Open your shader options menu while in-game. This is typically found in Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options, though the exact path depends on your launcher. Look for EmberVoid in your active shaders list.
Customize Brightness and Contrast
EmberVoid provides sliders to control how extreme the day/night difference feels. If the nighttime is too dark for your survival world, increase the ambient light or night brightness slider. If daytime feels washed out, reduce the brightness multiplier.
Fine-Tune Shadow Depth
The shadow intensity setting controls how dark shadows appear under trees and buildings. Lower this if shadows make navigation difficult at dusk. Increase it if you want more dramatic depth and atmosphere.
Test Your Changes
After adjusting settings, travel to different times of day and biomes to see how your changes affect visibility and mood. Forests and open plains will look very different. Save your preferred settings so they persist across sessions.
Performance vs. Quality Trade-off
If you're experiencing frame drops despite EmberVoid's optimization, reduce shadow quality or disable advanced lighting features. This preserves the fantasy aesthetic while keeping gameplay smooth.
