Understand Gem Socketing Basics

The gem socketing system lets you embed gems into your armor and weapons to boost stats. Each piece of equipment has socket slots available for gem insertion. Gems provide various stat increases depending on their type and rarity.

Locate and Collect Gems

Gems drop from defeated enemies and bosses throughout the mod's dungeons and structures. Fire-themed areas yield fire-aligned gems, while ice dungeons contain frost gems. Collect multiple gems to experiment with different stat combinations.

Apply Gems to Gear

Access your equipment's socketing interface (typically through a crafting station or inventory menu specific to the mod). Select an empty socket slot and place a gem into it. The stat bonus applies immediately. You can socket multiple gems into a single piece if it has multiple slots.

Optimize Your Build

Prioritize gems that complement your playstyle. If you rely on shields, socket gems that boost shield strength. For aggressive combat, prioritize damage or attack speed gems. Experiment with different gem combinations to find what works best against specific boss types.
