Identify Meteor Telegraph Patterns

The Fire Gargoyle alternates between flight and ground phases. During flight, it telegraphs meteor rain by glowing brightly and hovering in place. Meteors fall in a pattern—watch where the first few land to predict the rain's trajectory across the arena.

Dodge the Impact Zone

Meteors deal significant damage on impact. Move perpendicular to the meteor rain's path rather than running directly away—this gives you more control and reduces the chance of being cornered. Jump to avoid ground-level fire shockwaves that accompany meteor impacts.

Use Arena Space Strategically

The Emberbound Cathedral provides pillars and terrain features you can use for cover. Position yourself behind obstacles when meteor rain begins, but stay mobile enough to dodge the Gargoyle's magma beams during the same phase.

Punish Ground Phase

When the Gargoyle lands, it becomes vulnerable to sustained attacks. Use this window to deal heavy damage before it takes flight again and initiates the next meteor rain. Time your attacks between telegraph animations to maximize damage output.
