Transition from Swimming to Flying with Elytra

Switching Between Modes

With this mod installed, you can seamlessly move between swimming and flying without managing your elytra slot.

How to Transition

1. While swimming underwater with elytra equipped, move toward the water surface

2. Exit the water by swimming upward or moving to land

3. Once in air, jump to gain altitude

4. Press your elytra deployment key to activate flight

5. Your elytra will deploy and you can glide normally

Reverse Transition

1. While gliding, aim downward and descend toward water

2. Enter the water body

3. Press your swim activation key

4. You will smoothly enter swim mode

5. The elytra will not deploy while you're underwater

Notes

• Keep your elytra equipped throughout—no unequipping needed
• This workflow is especially useful for exploring mixed terrain with water and sky
