Toggle Your Elytra On and Off During Flight

Disable Elytra Without Landing

Sometimes you want to drop down quickly or switch to another mode of travel mid-flight. The Elytra Control Mod lets you disable your elytra instantly.

Steps

1. While flying or falling with elytra active, press your Elytra Toggle key (check your mod keybindings in Controls)

2. Your elytra will deactivate immediately

3. You'll begin falling normally

4. Press the toggle key again to re-engage your elytra and resume gliding

Important Notes

• Toggling off mid-air means you'll fall—make sure you have a safe landing spot or can re-engage before hitting ground
• Re-engaging your elytra mid-fall will slow your descent and allow you to glide again
• This feature is useful for quick descents or switching to climbing/swimming
• Your elytra durability is only consumed while actively gliding, not while toggled off
