Pause Your Flight Mid-Air

How to Hover in Place

The Elytra Control Mod lets you stop mid-flight without landing.

Steps

1. While flying with your elytra deployed, press your Jump key (default: Space)

2. Your character will freeze in mid-air

3. You'll remain suspended at that altitude as long as you hold or keep the key pressed

4. To resume flying, release the Jump key or press it again

5. Your momentum will resume from where you paused

Tips

• Pausing is helpful when navigating tight spaces or avoiding mobs
• You can look around while paused without moving
• Pausing uses no durability from your elytra
• If you're falling without elytra deployed, this won't work—you must have your elytra active first
