Set Up Auto-Swap Between Elytra and Armor

How Auto-Swap Works

Elytra Assistant automatically equips your Elytra when you take off and switches back to your chestplate when you land or stop flying. This happens without you needing to do anything—the mod detects flight state and manages your armor slot.

Enabling Auto-Swap

1. Equip an Elytra in your chestplate slot or have one in your inventory

2. Equip a regular chestplate (diamond, netherite, etc.) somewhere accessible

3. Jump and press your jump key again mid-air to start flying

4. The mod will automatically swap your chestplate out for the Elytra

5. When you land or stop gliding, your chestplate returns to the armor slot

What You Need

  • One Elytra (in inventory or equipped)
  • One chestplate you want to wear normally
  • Both items must be present in your inventory or armor slots

The auto-swap only works if both pieces exist. If you're missing either the Elytra or chestplate, manual swapping with the keybind becomes necessary.
