Switch Between Day, Sunset, and Night Skies
Understanding Sky Cycles
The Elden Ring Sky Resource Pack automatically cycles through three main skybox states as time progresses in your world: day, sunset, and night. Each offers distinct atmospheric qualities inspired by Elden Ring's aesthetic.
How to Experience Each Sky
Simply play through a normal Minecraft day-night cycle. The skybox will transition naturally:
- Day sky appears during morning and afternoon hours, featuring bright, detailed cloud formations and warm lighting
- Sunset sky emerges as the sun approaches the horizon, displaying rich orange and purple gradients characteristic of Elden Ring's golden hour
- Night sky takes over after sunset, revealing a starry, atmospheric night with moon phases
You don't need to do anything special—the pack handles transitions automatically. If you want to skip ahead, use the /time set command to jump to specific times of day and observe how the skybox responds.
Customization
If the transitions feel too fast or slow, check your resource pack settings in the Minecraft launcher. Some packs allow adjustment of sky fade timing, though the Elden Ring pack is designed to match vanilla Minecraft's day-night pacing for seamless immersion.
