Setting Up Efficient Pathfinding for Your Colony
Getting Citizens to Use Your Roads
This mod improves how citizens navigate your colony by making them prefer built roads and paths instead of cutting through terrain. Workers will follow constructed pathways, handle obstacles like stairs and ladders more reliably, and automatically find alternate routes if blocked.
To benefit from this system, build clear roads connecting your workplaces, housing, and food areas. Citizens will naturally use these routes during their workday. The pathfinding also handles minecart rails—workers will board and dismount cleanly at detector rail stations, making rail networks viable for moving between distant work sites.
If a citizen gets stuck, the mod's logic will reset their position or find an alternative path automatically, reducing the downtime that normally wastes productivity across your town.
