How to Set Up a Greenhouse with Greenhouse Cores
Choosing the Right Core for the Season
Greenhouse Cores come in four variants — Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter — and each one forces the climate inside its area to match that season. Place the core you want, then build an enclosed structure around it. The core needs a sealed volume to work; open walls or a leaky roof will let the outside season bleed in and defeat the purpose.
Building the Enclosure
1. Pick a footprint and wall it in with any solid block. Glass works well so you can see inside.
2. Put a roof on top — no gaps.
3. Place the Greenhouse Core inside the enclosed space.
4. Watch the Growth Detector or Hygrometer readings to confirm the interior climate has shifted to the core's season.
If crops still behave as if it's the wrong season, you have a leak. Walk the perimeter and check corners, doorways, and any glass panes that don't fully seal. Once sealed, the interior stays locked to the core's season regardless of what's happening outside, which lets you grow out-of-season crops year-round. Use a Container of Greenhouse Core if you want to move or store a core without losing its settings.
