How to Keep an Area Snow-Free in Winter
Why Snow Is a Problem
In winter, snow accumulates on the ground and on top of builds, which can bury paths, cover farms, and make your base a hassle to navigate. You want a way to keep a chosen area clear without shoveling it by hand every day.
Using the Snowless Homeland
The Snowless Homeland is the block for this job. Place it in the area you want to protect and it suppresses snow from forming within its range. Set it up before winter hits so snow never gets a chance to pile up. If your base is large, you may need more than one to cover the full footprint — place them so their ranges overlap and leave no gaps.
Cleaning Up Existing Snow
If snow has already fallen, clear it with a Broom or a Salt Wand. The Broom sweeps snow off surfaces, and the Salt Wand melts snow and ice. For bulk snow you can also use a Snow Cauldron where conditions allow. Once the area is clear, the Snowless Homeland keeps it that way. Check the edges of its range after the first snowfall — if snow is still forming at the borders, add another Homeland to extend coverage. This keeps paths, entrances, and crop areas usable all winter.
