Maximize Frame Rate on Low-End Hardware
Verify Shader Optimizations
Eclipse Lite is already optimized for old computers, but you can confirm settings are minimal. Open Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options and check that:
- Bloom is disabled
- Motion blur is off
- Depth of field is disabled
- Plant/leaf waving is turned off
Reduce Additional Graphics
Outside the shader settings, lower these Minecraft video options:
- Render distance (start at 8–12 chunks)
- Particles (set to minimal)
- Smooth lighting (turn off or set to minimum)
- Disable clouds if needed
Monitor Performance
Use F3 (Debug screen) to watch your FPS. If you're still below your target frame rate, reduce render distance further or disable the cinematic bars entirely—they're pure visual and don't affect performance, but removing them might free mental bandwidth for other rendering.
Restart After Changes
Close and reopen your world after major adjustments to ensure all changes take effect.
