Adjust or Remove the Cinematic Black Bars

Access Shader Settings

Open your shader options menu while in-game. This is typically found in Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options or by pressing a designated key (often accessible from the pause menu).

Modify Bar Size

Look for a setting related to "Cinematic Bars," "Bar Height," or "Vignette." Most shader packs allow you to:

  • Increase the bar size if you want a more dramatic movie effect
  • Decrease the bar size for a subtler look
  • Disable entirely by setting the value to zero or toggling the feature off

Save and Test

Apply your changes and return to your world. The bars will update immediately. If you're unhappy with the result, return to shader options and adjust further.

Note on Performance

Removing or reducing the bars won't significantly impact your frame rate, since the bars themselves are a visual overlay rather than a performance cost. The performance benefit of Eclipse Lite comes from its lack of heavy effects like bloom and motion blur.
